Continuous Learning by Gary Edwards
Many of us read only for pleasure, or when we have to, or only with favorite magazines or fluff. If you view reading and learning as building the “mind muscle”, reflect on what you are feeding it -bubble gum or protein? In this day and age of information technology and accelerated change, if you are not learning at or greater than the rate of change you might be becoming as obsolete as the buggy whip. Engage in meaningful reading and learning, stretch yourself, take a class, learn a new skill, stay on the top of your form. Exercising and growing the mind muscle is a quality of life improving, longevity enhancing strategy; and, worth all the self discipline and initiative that you can muster to get there.
